Course Overview
The IHP Advanced POCUS Clinical Case Series is a virtual, monthly webinar series for advanced practice providers with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and access to the use of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in their clinical environment. Some experience with practicing POCUS is recommended, but not required. Basic, introductory content will be summarized. The majority of each webinar will consist of clinical case examples that highlight the use of POCUS in bedside diagnosis and clinical management decisions. There will be opportunities to interpret image findings and participate in live Q&A and case quizzes. All webinars will be recorded and available to registrants until July 2021.
This series is a part of the IHP’s Advanced Practice Hub, a collection of relevant and just-in-time learning opportunities for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, consisting of webinars, face-to-face programming, podcast interviews, etc.

Objectives:
In Webinar 3 - "eFAST & RUSH POCUS", participants will:
• Define the indications for Extended Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma (eFAST) & Rapid Ultrasound for Shock and Hypotension (RUSH).
• Learn how to acquire appropriate images.
• Interpret images of normal and abnormal findings.
• Integrate new knowledge into clinical problem solving.

Hana Dubsky, PA-C
Emergency Medicine Physician Associate and EM PA Ultrasound Director, Brigham and Women’s Hospital
Hana Dubsky currently works as the Emergency Medicine Physician Associate Ultrasound Director at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She has received CAQ in Emergency Medicine and is a long-standing instructor and faculty member at Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Physician Assistant (PA) Program. In addition, she has taught the Point-of-care Ultrasound curriculum for the Physician Assistant Studies Programs at Tufts University and MGH Institute of Health Professions.
