Dr. Catherine Pipas, author of A Doctor’s Dozen: Twelve Strategies for Personal Health and a Culture of Wellness, will be visiting the IHP to discuss wellness strategies for health professionals. Join us for dinner and an interactive workshop. Option to attend virtually for those not in the Boston area. Profits will go towards a wellness initiative for current students.
Upon completion of the program, you will:
1. Describe the impact of burnout and factors that threaten personal and organizational wellness
2. Apply evidence-based wellness strategies to construct a Personal Health Improvement Plan (PHIP)
3. Propose system level solutions to nurture a culture of wellness

Dr. Pipas is a Professor in Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth’s School of Medicine. Over the last 25 years, she has served as Assistant Dean, Vice Chair, Chief Clinical Officer, and Director of the Office of Community-Based Education and Research and Director of Dartmouth’s Regional Primary Care Center. She has been recognized as a leader in education, research and clinical care with awards including: 2017, 2018 and 2019 New Hampshire Top Doctor, Dartmouth Medical School Master Educator, AOA Honor Society , Clinical Teacher of the Year, and 2019 STFM Humanism in Medicine Award.
Dr. Pipas is author of A Doctor’s Dozen: 12 Strategies for Personal Health and a Culture of Wellness. Her book delivers the framework for a wellness curriculum for Health Professionals – and Everyone Else! Dr. Pipas is committed to improved health nationally and internationally and provides training across professions to promote healthy individuals and healthy organizations. Her vision is for Healthy Individuals Contributing to Healthy Communities.
Applications are in process to provide CEUs for Nursing, Occupational Therapists, Physician Assistants, and Speech-Language Pathologists.

Full refund can be processed if request is received by October 1, 2019. To cancel, send your cancellation request via email to the Office of Continuing and Professional Development. Refunds will be processed based on the original form of payment and will be processed within 30 days of receipt of the cancellation notice. Cancellations received after October 1, 2019 will not be eligible for a refund.
Cancellation of activity: In the very unlikely event that IHP cancels or postpones the activity due to circumstances beyond its control, the IHP's liability will be limited to refund of paid registration fees.
