Course Overview

This is a 3-hour workshop intended for clinical teachers and preceptors from any and all specialties. It is the first of a series of interprofessional Clinical Teaching Workshops being offered exclusively to MGH employees through the Office of Continuing and Professional Development.


  • Maintaining wellness and engagement as a clinical preceptor
  • Using the concept of mindfulness in practice to foster mindfulness in teaching
  • Exploring learning styles and teaching perspectives in order to enhance clinical teaching

Dr. Zeman's main area of expertise is self-management, quality of life, and mindfulness. She is passionate about helping the "helpers" in their work roles in managing compassion fatigue and stress with mindful strategies. Dr. Zeman is also expanding into research in health professional graduate burnout, interprofessional education, and caregiver stress management.
